Well, retirement is still holding! I have been asked to volunteer a couple of times. If you know my story, you know that I hesitated before agreeing to volunteer. It seems every time I volunteer, it turns into a full-time job LOL.
We are in a holding pattern at the moment as far as travel goes. Tracey has some commitments that he needs to keep, which require us to be home. I think we are both a little antsy at this point. It doesn’t help that the hot weather has already hit. We did “sneak” away to visit our daughter in Charleston, SC. It was only our second time being there, the first being when we helped her move. So this trip allowed us some sightseeing time. It is so beautiful, and we had a great time. So hard to leave our daughter there so far from home. Yes, we know she is an adult, but she is our youngest.
We are biding our time here at home with some projects around the house, me thinking I want to revamp this website, Tracey doing car repairs with his brother, and making an effort to see local friends and family. We finally sold our RZR and Tracey’s hunting trailer. Tracey helped his brother with updates and repairs to his RV, and he sold it, and now they are working on his Rhino so he can sell that. Our interests and time commitments change, so it was the right thing to get rid of things we no longer use.
We do plan to get away for a few days at the end of June to Las Vegas, somewhere we haven’t been in a while. We have some timeshare points to burn up, any takers??
That will lead us into July. If Tracey has finished up his commitments, we hope to head out of the desert by late July. Probably head to Texas, as we haven’t seen the granddaughters in way too long. Then who knows where we will find ourselves. We have some plans in the fall that will put us in Colorado, Oklahoma, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Whew. Feast or famine, as they say.
Someone special has a big birthday this fall (the big 6-0), but he hasn’t decided what he wants to do for his birthday. Stay tuned for more on that!
We hope that you will continue to follow our journeys and seriously consider joining in somewhere along the way!
