Colorado has been part of our story for many years. I once lived here, and Tracey has family roots here, so we’ve both spent a great deal of time exploring the Centennial State. Over the years, those connections have been joined by close friendships that continue to draw us back. While the people are certainly part of the reason we return, Colorado’s breathtaking beauty would be enough on its own. From snow-capped mountain peaks and towering aspen groves to rolling green meadows and crystal-clear blue skies, the scenery here never fails to leave us in awe.
The weather is almost as amazing as the views. We love experiencing all four seasons, something we don’t take for granted coming from Arizona. Cool, crisp mornings are among our favorite moments, whether we’re sitting on a porch with a cup of coffee or watching the sun rise over the mountains. In our younger years, skiing and other winter adventures were often the highlight of our trips. These days, we’re just as happy relaxing beside a roaring fire with a good bourbon while snow falls outside the window. We still love the snow, the changing seasons, and the chance to spot wildlife such as elk and antelope roaming across the landscape. Colorado is a place that feeds the soul, and every visit reminds us why it remains one of our favorite destinations. In the stories ahead, we’ll share the places, people, and experiences that keep calling us back to this remarkable state.
