Colleen gets married October 2016

OMG it is 3:45am and my alarm is going off.  3:45am is early, very early.  Not a time I usually see and as I reach over to turn off the alarm I am not sure I want to see it.  Tracey is still snoozing away, it is dark and not even the dogs are stirring.  I think about going back to sleep as I roll over and pull the covers up and snuggle in. The tiny flash of the light on my phone reminds me that I am awake for a reason, a very special reason.  My longtime friend, we have been friends since we were 3 years old, is getting married!  I am so happy for her and so excited to be able to be a part of her special day.  3 years ago yesterday she stood on the beach in Mexico with me as Tracey and I got married. Now I am hearing another alarm and realizing I need to get out of bed. This time it is Tracey ‘s alarm. He stirs and turns off his alarm as I roll out of bed.

I must really love my friend, Colleen, because it is early! Did I mention how early it is :).

We are up, showered, dressed, packed and ready to go. As we wait for our ride, we take the dogs outside for a walk. We play and cuddle with them, especially the new puppy. He is so very cute. If Colleen didn’t have dogs I would be packing up the puppy and taking him with us.  I head outside with the dogs for one last potty break as Scott, Tracey’s brother, texts to say he is out front. Dogs are not liking that we are leaving and they are not going. They are under foot following us around, getting in the way, trying to dart out the door.  We put Ki’oni the puppy is his kennel and close the gates for the other dogs to stay in the kitchen, as they give us those sad puppy eyes.

We arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare. Thanks for the ride Scott. We arrive at the first class counter and are greeted with a smile. There is an empty kiosk, so we approach. I touch the screen to begin as instructed. Tracey hands me my passport as I try to swipe it. I try twice before getting a message that it can’t read it. Tracey hands me his passport and I try it, but the system has to exit all the way to the first screen to start over, ugh. I try to swipe Tracey’s passport with no luck. So instead of trying again I ask for Tracey’s credit card and swipe it. That works on the first try. We go through all the steps and get boarding passes printed out, then approach the counter to get our luggage tags. Yep we are checking two bags.  I know I know, but I couldn’t decide which shoes to take!

We were lucky and got TSA pre-check again, so we breeze right through security and on to our gate. We find seats and sit to wait.  We chat, I know shocking, and people watch. I get it, it’s early but come on people put some clothes on and run a comb through your hair LOL.  It isn’t long before they begin boarding and we are among the first as we have used our ‘miles’ and upgraded to first class, yeah us. We enter the plane and have to turn left to get to first class, this is when I realize it must be a big plane. We find our seats and are amazed at how much room there is between the rows. In fact, when I sit in my seat and stretch my legs out straight in front of me there is plenty of room between my feet and the seat back in front of me.  WOW. We put our carry-on away and take our seats. I am having trouble getting comfortable as the seat is so long front to back that it hits my calves instead of the bend on my knees.  So therefore my legs are protruding forward. If I slide forward so my knees bend my back is now curved and my neck bent awkwardly.  Oh this should be fun.

Our pilot comes on to welcome us aboard and let us know we are delayed a bit waiting on a crew member who is not on board yet. We end up delayed by 26 minutes waiting on what appears to be the co-pilot!! Let’s see how much time they can make up in the air.

My neck is so uncomfortable that I toss and turn and push every button on my seat trying to find a way to get comfy. It isn’t until after we are served breakfast and we are watching our movie that I find a position that is somewhat comfortable. And yes I seem to be the only one having this issue! Breakfast was pretty good and we follow it with a bloody mary.  Our movie in flight is Finding Dory. Really? A Disney movie? Well it turns out it is a cute and funny movie.

Now our movie is over and we are listening to Tracey’s playlist and writing about our morning.  So far so good.

Smooth flight and smooth landing. We head to baggage claim once we are off the plane, stopping briefly to utilize the closest restrooms.  Our bags came off the carousel pretty quickly.  We grab our bags and head outside to catch a shuttle to the rental car place.  Here comes the Hertz bus, the Avis bus, the Enterprise bus, oh there it is. No that was the Thrifty bus, followed by the National bus.  And now another Avis bus followed by Hertz, Enterprise, Thrifty, Avis again then National.  We have now seen 4 Avis buses and 3 Hertz buses and not one Budget bus.  Why did we pick Budget again?  Oh yeah we booked through American Airlines and that was the choice. I call the Budget counter to be told the driver is arriving now.  I guess I should have asked “arriving from where”, because 10 minutes later still no Budget bus.  I ask a couple standing in front of us which bus they are waiting for and yep you guessed it, Budget.  They also called and were told it was on its way.  While we are chatting, the young lady pulls the location up on her GPS to see how far it is from Avis, because from where we stand we can see Avis.  She tells us it is a one-minute walk so they are going to try to walk over there.  They tell us they will wave at us if it is a quick walk once they get to the street out front.  As Tracey and I continue waiting for the bus, we watch the young couple walk out from the airport and wave back that they found the Budget lot.  We decide we will wait a little longer as we have big suitcase and not sure we want to dodge traffic trying to get across the street with them.

It is still almost another 10 minutes before a bus arrives with the Budget logo on it.  I sarcastically ask the driver if he is the only driver today, to which he replies “yeah I think so”. Once at the Budget location, we join the 6 people already in line to get their cars.  We strike up conversation with others waiting in line behind us, as the line is up to about 12 to 15 people now, and the second counter person has just appeared.  The line seems to be moving at a snail’s pace.  As we get closer to the front of the line, perhaps only 1 or 2 people in front of us, a third counter person appears.  You would think this would speed things up, but in this case it seems to have slowed things down.  You see this third person seems to be helping the same person that the other counter person is helping.  So as we watch I give in to the fact that perhaps something went wrong and that particular person needed extra help.  Except that when that customer leaves, the two counter people help one person together again.  Our patience is wearing thin. I suggest Tracey get his license and credit card out and ready in an effect to help speed things up when it does eventually become our turn.  Tracey gets his license out and fumbles through his wallet for the 2nd time before saying he can’t find his MasterCard.  He thinks perhaps I didn’t give it back to him after I swiped it this morning in Phoenix to get us checked in for our flight.  I explained that I was pretty sure I had returned it.  He looks in his wallet again, checks his pockets and tells me again he can’t find it.  I look in my wallet and in my purse to no avail. By this point Tracey is beyond aggravated.  I try to keep calm and assure him we will find it, although I am not sure where.  We agree to get the car rented and then go through our belongings one more time before calling to cancel the credit card.  Tracey is sure now I left it in the slot this morning in the Phoenix airport when I used it to check in.

Finally, it is our turn at the counter, Tracey is now not his normal chipper self, so there is not much conversing at the counter.  I give her my credit card as that is the one I used to reserve the car and Tracey hands her his driver’s license as he will be the one driving.  She begins the process only to ask if 9Tracey has a credit card in his name.  Luckily, he has another one, not the one we wanted to put the car rental on but another one none the less.  We finish up with the non-happy Budget employee at the counter and head outside to find our car.  It is not far outside the door slot B12 is a white Ford Fusion.  Not something I would ever want to own myself but it will do for this trip.  We load our suitcases in the trunk and our small bags in the back seat.  However, before we get in the car, I remind Tracey we need to find his credit card.  I once again go all through my purse and my wallet, and look through my backpack. Nothing.  Tracey is going through his laptop bag saying he isn’t finding anything.  I believe he mentioned again he didn’t think I gave it back to him!  He says he wants to go through my purse and I ask for his wallet.  While he is searching my purse, which doesn’t take long as I emptied it out and only brought necessities on the trip, I go through his wallet.  I pull out the first slot of cards and it is not there.  I pull out the second slot, the middle slot where it is supposed to be and lo and behold look what I find!!  I hold it out in front of me and say “this one?”  “Where did you find it?” says Tracey.  “right here behind these cards,” I reply as I show him the cards and the slot they came out of.  It was behind his insurance card where he does not usually put it.  I will give him that, he is a creature of habit and meticulous about where and how things go in his wallet.  But I have to tease him a bit about his “man vision” being in full swing.

Now that he can relax a little, we get settled in the car and I ask Google to navigate us to the address we were given by the Bride, Colleen.  Google says, “ok let’s go” and Tracey looks both ways and pulls out of the parking space.  We are only 3 cars from the end of the row and it is a slight turn to the left and the exit is no more than 50 yards in front of us.  As Tracey makes the slight left we are almost hit head on by a Budget employee moving cars at about 40mph!!!  Whoa dude slow down!

We recover from our near collision and exit on to the road.  We don’t have any problems finding our way following Google’s directions. We arrive at Peggy’s house, which was her parents’ house, which was right across the street from where I lived as a child.  We are greeted and welcomed by Peggy as if we were family.  She leads us back to the kitchen and we say hello to Mitch her husband and the cat Calvin who has come to greet us.  Calvin is a big cat, literally he must weigh 20 pounds!  Sounds like a lot until we see the other cat, which I can’t remember his name but he is even bigger probably 25 pounds!!  We enjoy chatting and catching up, reminiscing a little about childhood.  Peggy asks if we are hungry, to which we tell her we are starving. (why do we use that word?  We are not really starving not even close) “oh good, I just put some stuffed mushrooms in the oven, they will be ready in just a minute or so”, Tracey and I exchange awkward glances.  Peggy looks back at me in time to catch the exchange between Tracey and I, “do you not like mushrooms?”  “No sorry neither of us do” I tell her.  She then points us to the table where there are tortilla chips and crackers out and she brings us some salsa, and continues making more food.  She tells us we can have whatever is out and asks if we want some of the bbq pork she has in the crock pot.  As yummy as that sounds to my growling tummy and as tasty as it smells, I don’t want to be rude and eat the rehearsal dinner before the wedding party even arrives 🙂 We will stick to chips and salsa for now thanks.  Mitch offers up beer that he has in the fridge, his own not the beer in the cooler for the masses later.  I opt for the apple cider margarita Peggy has made.

Shortly after some other family members arrive and begin snacking and mingling.  Bride and Groom arrive a little later, probably a good 2 hours after we got to Peggy and Mitch’s house.  They enter the house and greet each person giving hugs and chatting.  Since Tracey and I were sitting in the other room next to the kitchen we get up and head toward the kitchen.  Colleen has her back to us, chatting as we approach.  I don’t want to be rude and interrupt so we just quietly stand and wait behind her.  A few people have glanced our way but the Bride and Groom have not.  I reach out and touch her shoulder.  She slowly turns around, a smile broadens on her face, she hugs me and says “I forgot you were here” well hey now!!  No big deal she has plenty on her mind these days.  The rest of the evening is spent eating and visiting.  Around 9pm or so Colleen asks if we are ready to go.  We load back into our rental car and they in their car.  We are going to follow Kelly back to their house in Pennsylvania.  Did I mention we had flown into Philadelphia and then drove to Newark Delaware and now heading to Landenberg Pennsylvania?  Not too many places you can go and travel between states so quickly.  As we leave Peggy’s we circle around on the street where my grandmother lived when I was little.  I quickly spot her house but am too engrossed in memories to even point it out to Tracey.  Besides it was dark and he wouldn’t have been able to see anything without the memories to go with it.

The drive back to Colleen and Kelly’s takes only about 25 to 30 minutes.  Not a bad drive, except the roads are mostly back roads, extremely narrow and very curvy.  At one point we lose sight of Kelly for a split second and Tracey says “hey slow down I don’t know this race track” LOL

We arrive and Colleen and Kelly’s where we are greeted by Bentley and Harley two BIG chocolate labs.  We put our things upstairs in the bedroom and Kelly gives us the low down on the necessities like the creaky floor, the one outlet in the room, how to push our door to get privacy but it won’t close all the way and most importantly how to not push closed the bathroom door so as not to get trapped inside.  You see they live in an amazing stone house built like 125 years ago!  So very cool.  We all head back downstairs and sit in the living room and visit until we are all weary and falling asleep.  Everyone heads to bed and we call it a night.

Friday morning, okay well by the time we got up and showered and ready for the day it was almost noon.  This 3-hour time change is a killer.  Kelly and Colleen take us to main street Newark Delaware to have lunch at Café Gelato.  We sat outside on the patio.  Had a great lunch but just spending time with our friends was the best part.  We did a little people watching as we are right near the University of Delaware, so there were quite the sights to see.  On our way home from lunch Kelly took us to a quaint little winery not far from their house called Borderland.  We were treated to a wine tasting while sitting outside in the beautiful weather overlooking the vineyards and greenery as far as we could see.  Although the wine was not anything Tracey and I liked, we had a great time.  Remember folks it is not always where you are or what you are doing, it is who you are with.  After soaking up with sun for a while we headed home.  The guys enjoyed some coffee as we all sat around chatting.  Before we knew it is was creeping up on time to head to dinner.  Kelly had made us reservations as Twelves.

We had a great time at dinner.  The food was good, we got to bring our own wine which Kelly made himself.  I have to say Kelly you did a great job on the Merlot, we loved it.  We spent a few hours at dinner enjoying the food drink and friends.  After dinner we headed back home to be treated to some homemade ice cream.  I had ice cream that tasted like an orange dreamcicle, remember those from when we were kids?  Tracey had blueberry cheesecake ice cream.  Again Kelly you did not disappoint.  Kelly retired earlier than the rest of us, Colleen was reading and Tracey and I were checking emails and snapchatting with Caitlynn.  However, it wasn’t too long before we all called it a night.

Saturday morning Kelly was up early going golfing with his sons.  When Tracey and I finally came downstairs Colleen was writing out some thank you notes and checking her to do list for final details for the wedding.  I asked again if there was anything we could help her with, or do for them to take things off their lists.  She declined again.  So Tracey and I headed to meet up with my cousin Desiree for lunch.  When I first told her we were coming to Colleen’s wedding, we were bummed to find out that she would be out of town on a business trip all week.  But she was able to change her return flight to get back in time to see us.  Poor thing didn’t get home until 2am and here we are dragging her out to lunch!  We had a wonderful cheesesteak at a place called Bigfoot’s.  Even though the lunch was good, spending time with Desiree was so much better.  During our conversation over lunch we told her about the winery we went to, so she asked if we had time to visit one of the wineries near her.  So after lunch we followed her out to Dove Valley Winery.  Come to find out she went to school with two of the boys, whose family owns this winery.  Desiree even comes out to help with the harvesting of the grapes, something that is on my bucket list.  The property is beautiful and we again choose to sit outside and enjoy the weather and the scenery.  This time we are only poured tastings, unlike the half glass we got at Borderland.  This time it is a good thing because we were treated to three times as many wines.  Although there were a couple we did think were good and one we really enjoyed, there were a little on the sweeter side than we normally drink.  Tracey and I both commented we should have bought a bottle or two of the one we liked, guess we will have to ask Desiree to ship us some LOL.

Once finished at the winery Desiree leads us over to her mom’s house.  I haven’t seen my Aunt in a very long time.  I have however been chatting with her on Facebook.  I have memories of being at her house as a child and playing outside with my cousins.  But one of my biggest memories is of the dark and scary outhouse, hahaha.  To a child it was scary out there.  My Aunt Dottie and Uncle Fred did not have an indoor bathroom back then.  I don’t remember how long they did not, but by the time we moved away when I was 11, they had an indoor bathroom.  I failed to ask how long it was they went without, and the reasoning they didn’t have one.  A question for next visit.  We pulled in and parked in the driveway.  The look of the house is not familiar but I do remember the little church across the street.  Desiree goes in the house in front of us.  She holds the door open for us but is peeking around behind it into the family room.  Desiree isn’t saying anything but as Dottie gets close to the door she says “I brought you company”.  At this point Dottie has cleared the door and Tracey and I are inside the house.  You can see the confusion release from Dottie’s face as she realizes it is me and she takes me into a hug.  I hold back the tears, not just because I am glad to see her but because when I look at her I see my mom in her face.  We enjoy our embrace and I introduce her to Tracey. He hugs her and we step further in the house.  As we are chatting Desiree’s husband Steve shows up and comes inside.  Dottie is telling me about quilts she has been making lately.  I had asked her about making a quilt for me out of some of Caitlynn’s elementary school class shirts.  Desiree, Steve and Tracey head out back to sit and chat.  Dottie goes in the family room to get some quilts to show me.  I stand where I am for a bit.  I see Dottie lay a few quilts on the chair she was sitting in when we arrive and lean over and say something. “It’s Donna, Betty Ann’s girl”, so I walk into the room looking around.  It is dark so I ask her if Uncle Fred is in there.  “yea he is, sitting in his chair” I poke my head around her and make eye contact with him, I say hello and ask how he is.  He responds with a hi and okay, never moving and never getting up.  Same Uncle Fred I remember as a small child LOL.  Dottie shows me a few quilts that are beautiful, then we head outside to join the others.   Dottie shows me some photos of some paintings she has done, a few more quilts, and I ask her about a lady bug I saw on her Facebook page.   She turns around and we take a few steps toward the house and there are the two lady bugs.  She made them out of bowling balls!!  So creative.  She says she has all these hobbies to keep busy.  We talk for an hour or so about everything and anything.  I feel really bad I haven’t kept up on it all, mainly her health issues and battle with cancer.  The entire time I am chatting with her Tracey and Steve are talking guns, hunting, fishing and now eating as Steve is hungry.  We take some pictures and give hugs and I cry. Par for the course if you ask Tracey.  We head over to Desiree and Steve’s to drop off one of their cars and for Steve to change his shirt.  He came straight from coaching at a football game and doesn’t want to wear the team shirt.  We head over to the amazing Smokehouse we went to on our last visit.  Steve is hungry and the other three of us vow to just have a snack as that cheesesteak is still weighing heavy in our tummies.  After a couple hours we have each had a few beers and are stuffed beyond stuffed.  We say our goodbyes in the parking lot, snap some pictures and we headed our separate ways.  What a great visit.

We arrive back at Kelly and Colleen’s as they are relaxing watching tv.  The guys have some homemade ice cream as we chat about our days.  They got everything on their to do lists done and they are all set for the big day.  Kelly retires upstairs and we chat a little longer with Colleen. But it isn’t long before she is excusing us to our room so she can get to sleep as she has to be up early.

When we get up Sunday morning Colleen has already left for her sister’s where she will get her hair done, make up done, and get dressed before heading to the wedding venue.  Kelly’s boys are meeting him here at the house to get ready.  Tracey and I hurry along, get ready and pack all our stuff up.  We head downstairs to throw our sheets and towels in the laundry but Kelly won’t let us do laundry.  So after making him promise he would not do laundry today on his special day we leave the sheets and towels in a basket on top of the washing machine, sorry Colleen J.

We say our goodbyes and best wishes to Kelly.  He gives us a gift card for a coffee shop not far from the house and we head out.  We find the coffee shop without any problems and enjoy a nice breakfast.  My friend from high school Fran Jaffey and her daughter come by to visit while we have breakfast.  What a wonderful surprise.  We have great conversation about many things and we really want to spend more time with them and go back to their house.  I am afraid I will get wrapped up in having a great time with them I will make us late to the wedding so we decline their delightful offer and say goodbye as they head out.  Tracey and I just relax enjoying his coffee, my tea, people watching and scanning Facebook.

It is not long when we decide it is time to head to the wedding.  Thank goodness Google knows the way. We leave Delaware, where the coffee shop is, head through a part of Pennsylvania and into Maryland where the wedding will be.  The venue is absolutely stunning.  Colleen looks amazing and everything goes off without a hitch.  Such a beautiful ceremony, and they both look so happy and in love.  The wedding is outside in the garden area, and after we move inside the barn for the reception.  There are drinks and appetizers and live music out by the pool area.  Tracey and I get a drink and find a place to sit.  We really don’t know anyone but that is okay, we will make new friends.  The family is all busy mingling and getting pictures taken.  We find a spot to sit under a gazebo out of the sun and enjoy our drinks and each other.  Kelly’s granddaughter Penny comes into the gazebo area with family in tow.  She is so beautiful and Tracey and I enjoy watching her dance and play and interact with the family she is with.  A gentleman stands and introduces himself as Bruce.  He is Penny’s grandfather, her mommy’s dad.  He and Tracey strike up a conversation, go figure.  We enjoy quite a long conversation with him and his wife all the while watching Penny play.    Tracey overhears someone say Uncle Tracey and stands to see who they are talking to.  The other night Kelly shared with us some stories, some of which included his brother Tracey. I don’t remember what the story was or why Tracey wanted to meet the other Tracey but now was his opportunity.  He locates Uncle Tracey and introduces himself and they have a pretty lengthy conversation.  They spell their names the same way, although Uncle Tracey changed it for a while when he was a kid, but had to go back to the original spelling when he joined the Navy.  The Traceys had quite a bit in common, I enjoyed watching them interact.

Soon after they all exit the gazebo, Tracey and I decide to go check out the appetizers and get a drink.  We did get a drink but the appetizers were put away as it is about time for dinner.  The band has moved inside as well as most of the guests are headed that way.  Tracey and I pick a table off to the side, in an attempt to not be in the way of the family tables.  We are so blessed to be joined by Colleen’s daughter Brittany and her family.  Her hubby Michael and his two kids were such a joy.  We had fun getting to know them a little better and spending the evening with them.  I am very impressed by Michael’s son.  Brittany, Michael, and Kelly’s two sons each make a brief speech to and about the newly married couple.  Some tears flow and lots of pictures are taken. As soon as speeches are complete dinner is ready.  It is a buffet and we head downstairs to join the line.  The food was very good and very filling.

About 8:30pm we decide we need to say our goodbyes and head back to Philadelphia to find our hotel.  We find the Bride and Groom and get more pictures, say our goodbyes.  We then find the family we know and say goodbye.  We walk back to our car and again ask Google to lead the way.  We pull away from the venue on the very dark, very narrow and very windy road only to have someone pull out behind us and ride our bumper.  Very nerve wracking, to the point when we reached the main road, Tracey pulled across traffic a little closer than he normally would have, knowing that person behind us would not be able to also pull out.  Thank goodness that is over.

On the drive to the hotel we chat with our granddaughter Norah on the phone.  We end up talking more with Chris than Norah but that is okay, we love that she wants to call us!

We check into our hotel, take our stuff up to our room and I change my clothes.  We then take the rental car back so we won’t have to deal with it so early in the morning.  We turn into the entrance of Budget to an immediate almost U-turn in a tight space.  Glad we didn’t have a bigger car we would have never made it.  We pull up where it says return but we don’t see anyone. We sit in the car for a minute and still no one.  We gather our things and get out of the car and see a guy we think might work here walk by.  I believe he said hi or hey or something.  We go through the car and trunk making sure we didn’t leave anything, and then that guy hands us a receipt.  Guess he does work here.  Tracey gives him the key and he walks away.  We go over to where the sign is for the bus as our plan is to take their shuttle back to the airport and catch the hotel airport back to the hotel.  We wait and wait and wait.  Reminiscent of our arrival on Thursday.  I am just about ready to ask the family waiting on the bench how long they have been waiting when I think I see someone get into the bus parked a short distance away, so I wait.  The bus never moves.  I am once again ready to ask how long the family has been waiting, when I see a Budget shuttle pulling in.  The bus pulls up, stops and the door opens.  I take a couple of steps and stop waiting for the family to board but they don’t move.  I ask if they are taking the shuttle and they say no they are waiting for their car.  Tracey and I board the bus.  We are the only ones.  The driver ask probably due to our lack of luggage if we are catching a hotel shuttle.  We explain yes as he radios the other bus (the one I saw someone get in a while ago) asking if they are coming on shift now.  The reply is yes and the driver tells us it is our lucky day.  He is off now and will just drive us in the Budget bus to our hotel!!  There was a split second where I panicked, what if he doesn’t really take us there.  He was a hoot.  He kept us entertained on the ride and dropped us off right at the front door of our hotel.  We tipped him nicely and thanked him again.  Tracey and I head up to our room only to decide we need waters.  Tracey heads back downstairs to get us each a water and a snack J  we enjoy our snacks while watching a little tv while sitting on the couch in our room.  I do log on and do a little work but not much before we decide we need to head to bed as 4:45am (1:45am at home) will come way too soon.  As we lay down I remember I forgot to tell Averie our housesitter to leave the dogs outside in the morning due to the cleaning ladies coming.  I shoot her a quick text and she replies so we are all set.  Lay down again only to remember we have made no arrangements for a ride from the airport in the morning when we get home.  I text Scott but never get an answer.  Tracey texts Robert but he is in Florida on business.  So Tracey texts his dad, but it is now 8:30pm at home and his dad is usually in bed by now.  But he responds immediately and he will pick us up in the morning.  Thanks Dad!!

OMG it is early, it is pitch dark out and we are so tired.  Tracey’s alarm goes off, followed several minutes later by my alarm.  We drag ourselves out of bed, shower, get ready and repack our bags.  We had planned on being down in the lobby by 6:15 am to catch the 6:30 shuttle.  As I look at my phone it is a few minutes before 6.  We are ready so we head down thinking we might catch the 6 o’clock shuttle.  Tracey checks out at the front desk and the shuttle is still out front so we are able to get on it.  At the airport we get checked in, our bags tagged and we are off to security.  I have TSA pre-check but Tracey does not this time.  So we head to security knowing me will have to take everything out of our bags and our shoes off etc.  Did you know there is no first class security line in Philly?  Well now you do.  So I am really glad we made the early shuttle as the line is long.  We eventually make it through security and on to our gate.  We don’t have all that long to wait before boarding but I do think at one point I dozed off.  At the appointed time they begin boarding starting with first class.  We have to excuse me excuse me push our way through the masses of people lined up who are not in first class and probably not even in zone one.  WHY DO YOU PEOPLE LINE UP BLOCKING THE WAY???  Sit down and wait your turn, ERRRRRRR.  On the plane and headed home.

Thank you Colleen and Kelly for inviting us to take part in your special day. Thank you for your hospitality and your friendship.  Until next time………………..
