Welcome to Pennsylvania

Welcome to Pennsylvania

Welcome to Pennsylvania—a state that, if we’re being honest, remains one of the biggest blanks on our travel map.

Unlike many of the places we’ve visited, Pennsylvania hasn’t yet been a destination we’ve intentionally set out to explore. Most of our experiences here have been brief and tied to other plans. We’ve flown through Philadelphia on our way to somewhere else and spent time in the southeastern part of the state while attending the wedding of a dear friend who lives in Landenberg.

Even though our time in Pennsylvania has been limited, it didn’t take much to realize that there is far more here than we’ve experienced. The rolling countryside, historic towns, and beautiful landscapes we encountered left us curious about what lies beyond the small corner of the state we’ve seen. As travelers, we’ve learned that some destinations reveal themselves slowly, and Pennsylvania feels like one of those places.

What intrigues us most is the incredible variety the state seems to offer. From the rich history of Philadelphia and Gettysburg to the mountains, forests, farmland, and small towns scattered throughout the state, Pennsylvania appears to have something for nearly every type of traveler. It’s one of those places that repeatedly finds its way onto our “someday” list.

For now, our Pennsylvania story is short, but we have a feeling it won’t stay that way forever. The best part about travel is knowing there are still places waiting to be discovered, and Pennsylvania is certainly one of them. We look forward to returning someday, spending more time exploring, and creating memories that will allow us to tell a much richer story about the Keystone State.
